Brief History

Antipolo Lady of Lourdes School Foundation Inc. was established in June 1992 and began its first year operation in June 1993. The A.L.L.S is a private educational institution for boys and girls. Its offers complete pre-school, grade school and high school together with computer literacy programs. Its curricular programs have been given Government Recognition by the Department of Education in November 1997. The school is named after its patron - Our Lady of Lourdes who people ask assistance for physical healing and spiritual renewal. The Catholic Church celebrates a mass in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes in many countries every February 11.

The educational thrust of the school focuses in training the young towards their intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual formation by providing holistic education. The school dedicates itself to address the cognitive, affective and psychomotor needs of the child. The school commits itself at guiding its students to purse academic, character and sports excellence so they can be valuable service to community, country and to God.

Departmental Objectives for Pre- school and Elementary Levels:

Departmental Objectives for the High School Level:

1. Prepare the students for the challenges of the K to 12 Program:

A) mastery of communication skills both in oral and written form

B) introduction of career orientation and awareness and vocational attitude as well as encourage positive attitudes toward work

2. Nurture in the students important core values and habits needed to function effectively as a mature and productive citizen. Core values such as: persistence, hard work, truth, loyalty, service, justice, respect for human rights, etc.

3. Provide students with physical and sports education programs that focus in maintaining over-all physical health and wellness. By engaging in individual and team sports students develop among themselves the esprit de corps, unity, camaraderie and school pride.

4. Instill in the students through experiential learning the importance of social responsibility; emphasizing one’s role as an active participant in community and nation building.

5. Encourage students to participate in various school activities that seek to discover and hone their creative musical and literary skills.

6. Help students understand their religious faith and gain awareness and gain awareness and respect for other religious and through religious instruction understand how this affects one’s daily relationships and interactions.
